The mission of the Fire Prevention Bureau of the Painesville City Fire Department is to “Reduce the Incidents of Fire through Code Enforcement and Inspections”.

 

The goal of the bureau is to inspect every Educational, Institutional and Place of Assembly occupancy annually and to inspect businesses tri-annually.

 

The Bureau is staffed by one (1) part-time Fire Safety Inspector, Terry G. Sopko, and is staffed an average of 20 hours per week.
