Painesville's Public Lands & Recreation Department consists of three main divisions: Cemeteries, Parks and Recreation. Essentially, this department is in charge of all land and buildings in the public domain that are owned by the City of Painesville and the recreational activities and events provided to improve the community.

 
The Public Lands & Recreation office is located just past the Fire Station in the City Hall complex at 54 Mentor Ave (big brown house). Staff is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Cemeteries

The cemeteries division maintains and operates two municipal cemeteries:

  • Evergreen Cemetery (501 E Main Street, Painesville)
  • Riverside Cemetery (385 Riverside Drive, Painesville)
