Two Ways to Participate
Painesville's Spring Community Clean Up Day will be held on Saturday, October 19. There are two ways to participate:
- Volunteer (8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.): Volunteer as an individual or group to pick up litter and remove weeds on the roadside, parks and public areas. Trash bags, pickers, gloves and t-shirt are provided to all volunteers. For questions, call Helen Petersburg at 440-392-5801.
- Clean Your Home/Yard (all day): Community pride starts at home: clean out the garage, organize the house, spruce up the yard, paint the fence, clean the gutters, help your elderly neighbor... the sky's the limit! Trash, recycling and yard waste pick up will be on your normally scheduled pick up day. Also remember bulk items can be picked up on your normal refuse day as well
- Household furniture, mattresses, box springs or anything made of cloth material MUST be wrapped in plastic prior to pick up. Carpeting must be tied and rolled into 4 feet lengths. Any items not wrapped in plastic will not be picked up to protect the safety of Republic crews
- Tables, swing sets, lamps, small appliances, some home construction debris, etc. can be placed at the curb
- Not permitted items include large car parts, tires, batteries and any liquids
- Call customer service at 216-441-6300 to schedule disposal of large appliances like refrigerators and washing machines
Volunteer Registration
Join us for a morning of volunteering by picking up litter and general clean up for residents in need. The 2024 Painesville Fall Clean Up Day is Saturday, October 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Trash bags, pickers and gloves are provided. Those who register before April 26 have guaranteed t-shirts.
Large Groups
If your organization, business or team are interested in volunteering in a large group (8 or more), please reach out to us directly so we can help assign projects or areas that may require a little more man power and allow you to work as a team! Contact Helen Petersburg at 440-392-5800 or [email protected].
