The Painesville Electric Committee functions as an advisory body to provide input on the decision-making regarding the Painesville Electric system. This includes topics such as the purchase of power, financing, operations, improvements and any programs associated with the public power system.

 

The Electric Committee consists of five voting members and one City Council member who serves as a non-voting liaison. Each committee member has staggered term limits. To be eligible, committee members must be an end-user of the Painesville Electric system and be appointed by City Council.

  


Meeting Information

Meetings are held quarterly in the months of January, April, July and October, with an organizational meeting held every two years to appoint a chairman and vice-chairman of the committee.
