Downtown Painesville is once again on Ohio's Holiday Lights Trail! Enjoy over 150,000+ lights lining Painesville Square and Main Street. Visitors are welcome to walk through Painesville Square, take a picture in the gazebo and enjoy the storefront displays. Gartman Model Bakery's gingerbread window is a must see (30 N State Street)!

It's the most wonderful time of the year and what better way to kick off your holiday shopping than shopping local! This walk-around event features great store and restaurant specials, giveaways, special holiday guests and lots of treats. Evening hours don't work? Shop specials all day from 12-8 p.m.

It's Painesville Recreation’s most popular kids’ event of the year! Greet Santa as he comes to town and lights the city tree. Enjoy horse and carriage rides around the Square, an indoor kids activity, a performance by Fairport Dance Academy and, of course, Santa's House!

Santa's Mailbox returns to Painesville Square (next to Santa's house) on November 22. Remember to include a return address so Santa can write back! The last day to send letters is Monday, December 16.
Senior Holiday Luncheon

All Painesville area seniors are welcome to join Painesville Recreation for their annual Seniors Christmas Luncheon. This is a free event, catered by Zappitelli's. Space is limited and open to the first 60 senior citizens to register. RSVP at 440-392-5912 (Recreation Office open Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00). Thank you to event sponsors Knights of Columbus 947 and L.C.E. Federal Credit Union.
