Fall Shred Day

Painesville City will be hosting a community fall shred day on Saturday, October 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Morse Avenue Community Center located at 244 Jefferson Street in Painesville. This event is for city residents only and will occur rain or shine. Shred Day is a drive-up service, and residents are asked to stay in the vehicle as volunteers remove boxes/paper bags for shredding from their vehicle.
A few guidelines:
- Residents should bring shred materials in a cardboard box or paper bag. Boxes will not be returned. Plastic bins will not be accepted.
- Each vehicle is limited to three banker size boxes for shredding.
- Staples, paperclips and rubber bands are acceptable. Binder clips are not.
- Shred day is for paper products only with no newspapers or magazines accepted.
- It is not possible for individuals to watch their specific items shredded. Items are loaded onto a box truck to be shredded.
- This is a free service to all city residents.
