Norfolk Southern Railroad Crossing Closures

The City of Painesville has just confirmed with Norfolk Southern that their railway crossings will be temporarily closed today, April 18, as a railroad crew works to replace tracks moving west.

• The Liberty Street crossing will be closed until roughly 4:45 p.m. and will reopen once crews have completed work.
• The Chestnut Street crossing will be closed from roughly 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will reopen once crews have completed work.
• The Mentor Avenue crossing will be closed roughly from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and will reopen once crews have completed work.
• The W Jackson Street crossing will be closed briefly (less than 30 minutes) around 8:00 p.m. and will reopen once crews have completed work.
