Ward II City Council Seat Open
At the Monday, June 20 Painesville City Council meeting, Councilwoman Katie Jenkins announced she would be stepping down from her elected position on July 31, 2022. Jenkins has served as the Ward II council representative since 2013. To fill the vacancy, Painesville City Council must appoint a Ward II representative for the remainder of Jenkins’ unexpired term.
Those interested in applying for the position must be a Painesville City resident for at least a year, live in Ward II, be a registered voter in Lake County and hold no other elected public office or have any contract/employment with the City of Painesville. Box 601, Painesville, Ohio 44077, no later than Monday, July 11, 2022.
The next City Council ward election will be held in November 2023.
