Do you have what it takes to win Painesville's annual Chili Cook Off?

The City of Painesville is looking for chili cooks ready to put their favorite recipes to the test at the annual Community Chili Cookoff on Saturday, September 19 from 1-3 p.m. at Painesville Square.

Local residents and restaurants are invited to compete for the title of Painesville’s Best Chili. Both amateur and professional cooks are welcome to enter.

Registration is $10 per chili recipe, with proceeds benefiting the City of Painesville Recreation Program. Completed registration forms must be returned to the Recreation Office, 54 Mentor Avenue, no later than Monday, September 14. Participants can pay by check, payable to the City of Painesville, or call (440) 392-5912 to pay by credit or debit card.

In addition to plenty of chili, the Ohio State vs. Kent State football game will be shown on the big screen during the event.
