Notice of Legislation Passed at the August 18, 2025 City Council Meeting
Notice is hereby given that Painesville City Council adopted the following legislation on Monday, August 18, 2025:
- ORDINANCE 22-25 – An Ordinance creating new Chapter 194 – Lodging Tax of the Codified Ordinances. (1st Reading 06.02.25, 2nd Reading 06.16.25, TABLED 07.21.2, 3rd Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- ORDINANCE 23-25 – An Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of not to exceed $8,100,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of paying costs of acquiring, installing, and equipping solar panels for electric power generation, together with all necessary appurtenances thereto and related site improvements therefor, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- ORDINANCE 24-25 – An Ordinance to make amended appropriations and to authorize additional inter-fund transfers and advances for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Painesville, State of Ohio during the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2025, and amending the original appropriations for the 2025 operating budget, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- ORDINANCE 25-25 – An Ordinance amending Section 167.07 of the Painesville Code of 1998 relating to the Classification and Compensation Plan, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- ORDINANCE 26-25 – An Ordinance authorizing and directing the City Manager to approve EV charging stations customer charge rates, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 6-0)
- ORDINANCE 27-25 – An Ordinance amending Section 167.09 of the Painesville Code of 1998 relating to the Classification and Compensation Plan, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 43-25 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to cooperate with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the asphalt resurfacing of South State Street (SR-84/86) and East Walnut Street (SR-84) in the City of Painesville, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 44-25 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Lake County Board of Commissioners (“Agreement”) for central dispatch services for the years 2026 to 2030, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 45-25 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to apply for and accept an Ohio Law Enforcement Bulletproof Vest Program Grant, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 46-25 – A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into agreements that relate to the One Ohio Memorandum of Understanding and other opioid related settlements including the Purdue Pharma Bankruptcy, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 47-25 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to enter into an agreement for engineering and project consulting that are associated with Solar & Bess Development for the Painesville Electric Distribution CRPG Projects, and declaring and emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 48-25 – A Resolution amending the status of the Clerk of Council position from permanent part-time to full-time, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 08.18.25 PASSED 7-0)
