Notice of Legislation Passed at the March 4, 2024 City Council Meeting

Notice is hereby given that Painesville City Council adopted the following legislation on Monday, March 4, 2024:

 

  1. ORDINANCE 05-24 – An Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum principal amount of $3,500,000 to pay costs of the acquisition of real estate in the city to be improved and used for municipal purposes, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 02.05.24, 2nd Reading 02.21.24, 3rd Reading 03.04.24 PASSED 6-0)
  2. RESOLUTION 11-24 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to bid and award a contract for the installation of James Hardie Fiber Cement Board on the Municipal Court Building at 7 Richmond Street to the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 02.21.24, 2nd Reading 03.04.24 PASSED 7-0)
  3. RESOLUTION 12-24 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to accept grant funding from NOACA and partner with them for the purchase and installation of EV Charging Stations to be located in Painesville, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 02.21.24, 2nd Reading 03.04.24 PASSED 7-0)
  4. RESOLUTION 13-24 – A Resolution appointing Evan Rosborough as a member of the Planning Commission of the City of Painesville, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 03.04.24 PASSED 7-0)
  5. RESOLUTION 14-24 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to apply for and accept funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance to Firefighter’s Grant, for the purpose of purchasing portable radios, batteries, chargers and ancillary equipment, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 03.04.24 PASSED 7-0)
  6. RESOLUTION 15-24 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to advertise for bids and enter into a contract, including any and all ensuing change orders, with the lowest and best bidder for West Eagle Street Water Main Replacement, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 03.04.24 PASSED 7-0)
  7. RESOLUTION 16-24 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to accept funding from the State of Ohio Department of Development, Office of Energy and Environment (OEE), for the purpose of purchasing and installing a new aeration blower, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 03.04.24 PASSED 7-0)
  8. RESOLUTION 17-24 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to apply for and accept funding from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency through the H2Ohio Rivers Chloride Reduction Program, for the purpose of purchasing equipment to assist with chloride reduction, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 03.04.24 PASSED 7-0)
