Recreation Park Pond Stocked for Spring
Good news fishing lovers: The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) has restocked the pond in Kiwanis Recreation Park for the year - a sure sign of spring! For those who have not taken advantage, our Recreation Park pond is the perfect place to teach kids to fish or to enjoy leisurely fishing.
Recreation Park is located at 301 Latimore Street, Painesville and is the city's largest park at 75 acres, located next to the scenic Grand River which offers great fishing opportunities. You can view the Grand River from our 1/2 mile long Riverwalk walking path. The park include nine ball diamonds used by various leagues as well as Painesville City Schools varsity and junior varsity programs and Lake Erie College.
Additional Park Amenities: Basketball Court, Fishing (pond and river), Skate Park, Two Playground Areas, Three Reservable Shelters, an 18 Disc Golf Course, Picnic Tables, Restrooms, Grills, Walking Trail, and is also home to Painesville DEK Hockey.
