Lake Erie Starts Here Stencils

Have you noticed the 'Lake Erie Starts Here' stencils around town? It's part of the city's anti-littering campaign and serves as a reminder that everything that goes down our drains flows into Lake Erie. So let's keep it clean! 

Huge shout out to our Painesville business and school community who kicked off our Painesville's Fall Community Clean Up Day last Friday by volunteering their time to paint the stencils in the roadways and pick up trash. Thank you Avery Dennison, Burgess & Niple, Painesville City Local Schools, Extended Housing and Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers.

Another shout out to our event sponsors for their donations of paint, gloves, bags and supplies: Joughin Hardware, The Lubrizol Corp, Painesville Community Improvement Corporation and Republic Waste Services. This was a 100% volunteer-funded project.
