Notice of Legislation Passed at the December 4, 2023 City Council Meeting
Notice is hereby given that Painesville City Council adopted the following legislation on Monday, December 4, 2023:
- ORDINANCE 23-23 – An Ordinance amending Section 167.07, of the Painesville Code of 1998 relating to the Classification and Compensation Plan, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.04.23 PASSED 7-0)
- ORDINANCE 24-23 – An Ordinance amending Section 167.07, of the Painesville Code of 1998 relating to the Classification and Compensation Plan, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.04.23 PASSED 7-0)
- ORDINANCE 25-23 – An Ordinance placing a moratorium on new establishments that sell or distribute electronic smoking devices and/or vapor products in the City of Painesville, Ohio, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.04.23 PASSED 7-0)
- ORDINANCE 26-23 – An Ordinance establishing a 6 month moratorium on the acceptance and processing of applications for zoning and/or occupancy permit approvals for Cannabis Operations, including Medical Marijuana Operations within the City and the issuance of such approvals in the City of Painesville, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.04.23 PASSED 7-0)
- ORDINANCE 27-23 – An Ordinance approving a tax increment financing agreement with the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority and Grand River Walk LLC, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.04.23 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 64-23 – A Resolution appointing John Bradley Deane as a member of the Planning Commission of the City of Painesville, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 11.06.23, 2nd Reading 11.20.23, 3rd Reading 12.04.23 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 65-23 – A Resolution appointing Jan Clair as a member of the Civil Service Commission of the City of Painesville, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 11.06.23, 2nd Reading 11.20.23, 3rd Reading 12.04.23 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 66-23 – A Resolution authorizing the execution of the 2023 NPP Power Pool Participant schedule with American Municipal Power, Inc. (“AMP”), and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 11.06.23, 2nd Reading 11.20.23, 3rd Reading 12.04.23 PASSED 7-0)
- RESOLUTION 67-23– A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to submit an application to and accept an award from the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation Safety Intervention Grant for the purchase of three EMS Power Stair Chairs, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.04.23 PASSED 7-0)
