Painesville's 225th Birthday Bash Celebration

Join us in celebrating Painesville's 225th Birthday Bash on Saturday, September 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Painesville Square! This event is FREE and family-friendly:
🤸  Kids zone including inflatables, face painting & art tent
👋  Over 50 Painesville area businesses & organizations!
🍔  Food trucks, adult beverages & DJ
🎂  Free birthday cake for the first 300 people at 6 pm
🚒  Touch-a-Truck zone featuring different city departments
🏏  Yard games from the past and today
And of course, a chance to meet General Edward Paine, the founder of Painesville! All are welcome.

Other food vendors include Sprinkles, Sparkles & Sunshine (cotton candy), We Are Fatrolls, Our Daily Press Co (fresh pressed juice bottles)
Beer and seltzers available the Painesville Community Improvement Corporation (PCIC) table
 
Schedule
4:00 p.m. - National Anthem by the Lake Youth Community Choir
5:00 p.m. - Folk dancing by HOLA Ohio Folkloric Dancers
6:00 p.m. - 'Happy Birthday' by the Painesville Women's Chorus. Free birthday cake from Gartman Model's Bakery (oldest bakery in Painesville) to the first 300 people
8:00 p.m. - Event ends
 
Road Closure & Parking
Starting Saturday, September 6 at 12:00 noon through 10:00 p.m., Park Place around Painesville Square will be closed to traffic and parking. Free parking is available to attendees in multiple lots:
    • E Washington Street at the former Lake East Hospital Site
    • S St. Clair Street Parking lot behind Victoria Place
    • Main Street's Job & Family Services Parking lot

Please do not park at The Tower, Lake Erie College's dormitories located on the corner of Liberty Street and E Washington Street. This lot is reserved for students living in the student housing. 

Parking at businesses closed for the evening and street parking are also usually readily available.
