Fall Clean Your Home (ALL DAY)
Community pride starts at home: clean out the garage, spruce up the yard, paint the fence, clean the gutters, help your elderly neighbor, rake the leaves... the sky's the limit! Trash pick up will be on your regular pick up day, however the city will have extra dumpsters available.

TRASH DISPOSAL RULES

TRASH DO’s

  • Do use your normal curbside refuse pickup by Republic Waste.  Please remember items for normal pickup can only be left at the curb no earlier than 7:00 p.m. the day prior to your regularly scheduled refuse day. For example: If your normal trash day is Friday, items cannot be placed at the curb until Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
  • Do take advantage of the four large dumpsters. Each ward will have a dumpster available for Painesville City residents only on Saturday, October 12. Residents can drop off their approved refuse items at any time, at no cost. See dumpster location list below.
  • Do remember that all items must be placed in refuse containers or at the curb in plastic bags, with the exception of yard waste. Plastic bags cannot exceed 50 pounds. Be sure to fill your refuse container first.
  • Do remember yard waste such as grass clippings, tree leaves and brush must be placed in brown kraft yard waste bags and placed at the curb for your normal curbside refuse pickup in October.
