Temporary road closures planned as redevelopment continues downtown

Progress on the Victoria Place redevelopment project means a few temporary road closures next week as crews use a crane to complete work in the downtown area.

To allow installation of HVAC units, the following temporary road closures and access changes are planned:

• Monday, June 1: South Park Place on the west side of the Square will close from 7 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., Main Street from South Park Place to St. Clair Street will close as the crane is repositioned. This section of Main Street will remain closed through Thursday.

• Tuesday through Thursday, June 2-4: Main Street from South Park Place to St. Clair Street will remain closed each day 24 hours/day while crane work continues.

• Friday, June 5: South St. Clair Street from Main Street to just before the Dollar Bank Entry Drive will close from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crane operations. Sidewalk access to F.A.T.S. (Flavors Around the Square) will remain open. Access to the Dollar Bank parking lot also will remain available, although the bank drive-thru will not be accessible during construction hours.

The City of Painesville appreciates the community’s patience as work continues on the redevelopment of Victoria Place.
