Notice of Legislation Passed at the May 4, 2026 City Council Meeting
Notice is hereby given that Painesville City Council adopted the following legislation on Monday, May 4, 2026:
1. ORDINANCE 09-26 – An Ordinance to make amended appropriations and to authorize additional inter-fund transfers and advances for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Painesville, State of Ohio during the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2025, and amending the original appropriations for the 2025 operating budget, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 05.04.26 PASSED 7-0)
2. ORDINANCE 10-26 – An Ordinance to authorize additional inter-fund transfers and cash advances of funds for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Painesville, State of Ohio during the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2025, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 05.04.26 PASSED 7-0)
3. ORDINANCE 11-26 – An Ordinance amending Section 937.10 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Painesville relating to Sanitary Sewer Connection Fees, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 05.04.26 PASSED 7-0)
4. ORDINANCE 12-26 – An Ordinance amending Section 1337.13 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Painesville relating to Sanitary Sewer Connection Fees, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 05.04.26 PASSED 7-0)
5. RESOLUTION 26-26 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to apply for and accept reimbursement funding from the Ohio Department of Public Safety EMS Equipment Grant, for the purpose of purchasing various EMS Durable equipment items, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 05.04.26 PASSED 7-0)
6. RESOLUTION 27-26 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to enter into agreement with American Municipal Power for the Noteworthy AI licensed services providing AI Platform Utility Pole Inspection software and equipment in support of the 2026-2028 Painesville Distribution Utility Pole Inspection Program, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 05.04.26 PASSED 7-0)
7. RESOLUTION 28-26 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to advertise for bids and to enter into a contract, including any and all change orders, with the lowest and best bidder for the sectional replacement of the H-6 Electric Distribution Circuit, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 05.04.26 PASSED 7-0)
8. RESOLUTION 29-26 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Convergence Energy for the engineering, procurement and construction of 20MWAC of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in support of electric power supply delivery benefiting the Painesville Electric Distribution System and the City of Painesville, Ohio, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 05.04.26 PASSED 7-0)
9. RESOLUTION 30-26 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to advertise for bids and enter into a contract for the purchase of ten (10) transformers that are required for the electric generation solar development that will benefit the Painesville Electric Distribution System and the City of Painesville, Ohio including any and all ensuing change orders, with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 05.04.26 PASSED 7-0)
