Traffic shift, ramp closure planned for SR 283 bridge project

Beginning Monday, July 27, traffic on the State Route 283 bridge over State Route 44 will shift to the north side of the bridge as the Ohio Department of Transportation enters the next phase of its bridge rehabilitation project. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction.

As part of this phase, the State Route 44 southbound exit ramp to State Route 283 will remain closed through approximately August 21.

The closure affects motorists traveling south on State Route 44 who normally exit onto State Route 283 toward downtown Painesville and the Grand River area. Drivers should follow the posted detour.
