Name the Plow Contest
The City of Painesville is excited to announce the newly created Painesville Name the Snowplow Contest. The city is asking Painesville City residents, or their children, to submit their best and most creative name ideas for a fleet of six snowplow trucks by Tuesday, January 25 at 5:00 p.m.
Winners will have their photo taken with the newly named plow and the honor of seeing their name on the trucks as they plow around town. Each person can submit up to three names.
The following rules apply:
- Each submission is limited to no more than 30 characters, including letters and spaces.
- Each resident (open to all ages), may submit up to three snowplow names.
- Please no profanity or inappropriate language.
- Politically inspired names (including phrases, slogans or plays on politicians' names) will not be considered. This is a fun contest, let's keep politics out of it.
- After the submission form closes, city staff will review all submissions - at the city's discretion - and select finalists for the public to vote on. Voting will commence January 31 through February 9. The top six names will become the contest winners.
