Splash Pad Closure & Extended Season

The Painesville Splash Pad and back restroom at Kiwanis Recreation Park will open for normal operation starting Saturday, August 31. Construction affecting the water line to the splash pad has been resolved. Thank you.
UPDATE 8/29/2024
Due to construction of a nearby wet well, the Painesville Splash Pad in Kiwanis Recreation Park and the back restroom facility near the fishing pond will remain closed until Wednesday, September 4. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
The Splash Pad’s original season ends on Labor Day, however, due to the construction and the seasonally warmer Septembers of the past few years, the Splash Pad will remain open for the 2024 season until Monday, September 30 (weather permitting).
UPDATE 8/27/2024
Due to construction of a wet well, the Splash Pad will be CLOSED Tuesday and Wednesday. We apologize for the late notice. The back restroom in Kiwanis Recreation Park is also closed.
8/26/2024
Due to the projected hot weather for Tuesday and Wednesday, the Painesville Splash Pad will extend hours to 9:00 pm (normal hours, 11 am-7 pm). Stay cool!
Adult supervision is required for all children at all times
No running, pushing, wrestling or rough play allowed
No bikes or scooters in the Splash Pad
Pets are not allowed in the Splash Pad
Climbing on water features is prohibited. Please take care of our new Splash Pad! No shoving straw and grass in the drains.
Any child not potty trained must wear a water-resistant swim diaper. Do not use Splash Pad if you have diarrhea. Wash hands after using the restroom or diaper changes.
Water is not meant for drinking
Remember to take regular breaks out of the sun
Do no use the Splash Pad during severe weather like thunder or lighting
No smoking or vaping in or around the Splash Pad area

The Painesville Splash Pad is located near the pond in Kiwanis Recreation Park, 301 Latimore Street. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
