Notice of Legislation Passed at the December 15, 2025 City Council Meeting

Notice is hereby given that Painesville City Council adopted the following legislation on Monday, December 15, 2025:

  1. ORDINANCE 31-25 – An Ordinance to make appropriations for the current expenses and expenditures of the City of Painesville, State of Ohio for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026 and adopting the operating budget, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 11.17.25, 2nd Reading 12.01.25, 3rd Reading 12.15.25 PASSED 6-0)
  2. ORDINANCE 32-25 – An Ordinance to approve and adopt the 2025B Codified Ordinances including new matter contained therein, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.15.25 PASSED 6-0)
  3. RESOLUTION 70-25 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to advertise for bids and to enter into contracts with the lowest and best bidders for furnishing materials, supplies and services to various departments/divisions of the City of Painesville, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.01.25, 2nd Reading 12.15.25 PASSED 6-0)
  4. RESOLUTION 71-25 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to apply for and accept funding from the Ohio State Fire Marshal Individual Equipment Grant, for the purpose of purchasing firefighter turnout gear, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.01.25, 2nd Reading 12.15.25 PASSED 6-0)
  5. RESOLUTION 72-25 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the asphalt resurfacing of South State Street (SR-84/86) and East Walnut Street (SR-84) in the City of Painesville, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.15.25 PASSED 6-0)
  6. RESOLUTION 73-25 – A Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager to apply for and accept funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation Drones for First Responders Pilot Program Grant, for the purpose of purchasing a drone, ancillary equipment, pilot training and licensing, and declaring an emergency. (1st Reading 12.15.25 PASSED 6-0)
