Civil Service Commission Member
The City of Painesville is currently accepting resumes for those interested in serving on the Civil Service Commission. Member responsibilities include overseeing the testing and certification of candidates for entry level police officers and firefighters. Other functions include conducting police and fire promotional exams and acting as a Board of Review in matters for civil service employees. The mission of the Civil Service Commission is to provide an orderly, fair and uniform system for the administration of the relevant provisions of the Civil Service Laws and the City of Painesville Rules and Regulations. The Civil Service Commission consists of three residents appointed by City Council to serve six-year terms.
Resumes should be submitted to Painesville City Hall (7 Richmond Street, Painesville) no later than Tuesday, April 9 at 5:00 p.m. Candidates must be a Painesville City resident that does not hold any other municipal office or employment. Citizen's Safety Committee Members
The City of Painesville is currently accepting resumes for those interested in serving on the Citizen’s Safety Committee. The mission of the Citizen’s Safety Committee is to address matters relating to Police and Fire, and provide citizen input concerning programs and services. Committee members must be a City of Painesville resident. There is no specified term of office.
