Fire Administration Moves Back into Fire Station
The Painesville City Fire Department is back to a one building department thanks to a remodeling project at the fire station. The fire administration offices have moved from 66 Mentor Avenue to the fire station at 28 Mentor Avenue. Fire administration moved out of the fire station over 25 years ago due to overcrowding issues.
“I am really excited to be back in the station and closer to the team,” said Painesville Fire Chief Tom Hummel. “Although we were a short walk away at 66 Mentor Avenue, it’s always ideal to be close to your team. We’ve spent the last few months painting and cleaning and are finally all moved in at the station.”
Thanks to a new layout in office space, the four-employee team is back at the fire station. The administration office includes the Fire Chief, Fire Executive Captain, Fire Safety Inspector and Fire Secretary. Visitors are welcome, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
