Crowley's Dive Coming to Painesville City

The City of Painesville and Crowley’s Dive Bar are excited to announce the opening of a new location located at 77 S St. Clair Street this coming fall. Business partners David Bartulovic, Seamus Coyne, McPat Coyne and Brendan Kearney hope to bring their latest hospitality establishment to the Painesville community.

“We are super excited about the revitalization happening in downtown Painesville and are glad to be a part of the amazing growth in the city,” said Bartulovic. “We can’t wait to bring our unique casual dining to central Lake County.”

The same group is responsible for multiple Willoughby restaurants including Sol, The Wild Goose, Nora’s Public House, Fiona’s Coffee Bar & Bakery, Mickey’s Ice Cream and Fungry Food Truck. The original Crowley’s Dive Bar was opened in Eastlake in 2023, with two new locations coming in 2024 in Kirtland and Painesville City. Crowley’s Eastlake was announced the winner of Cleveland.com’s 2024 “Best of Cleveland” reader’s poll for the region’s best burgers.

According to the Crowley’s Dive Bar website, the Irish-Croatian bar is unique in that it brings two great cultures together and pays homage to Thomas Crowley, or Tomislav Kraulic, an Irishman who fought in the Croatian War of Independence. The restaurant offers smash burgers and other dive bar favorites in an unapologetically, unglamorous establishment.
