2025 Road Projects Announced
At the December 16, 2024 Painesville City Council meeting, City Council approved the 2025 city budget which includes various road projects for the 2025 construction season. These projects would not be possible without the Road Levy which Painesville City voters renewed in 2022.
- Resurfacing Harmon Avenue, from Lincoln Boulevard to W Jackson Street, with a projected cost of $85,000.
- Resurfacing Lincoln Boulevard, from Mentor Avenue to W Jackson Street, with a projected cost of $115,000.
- Resurfacing Valleyview Drive, from E Walnut Avenue to the cul-de-sac, with a projected cost of $100,000.
- Reconstructing a small portion of Bank Street, from S State Street to the asphalt (concrete section), with a projected cost of $130,000.
- Resurfacing a portion of Liberty Street, from Washington Street to Mentor Avenue, with a projected cost of $230,000.
- Resurfacing Liberty Street Extension, from Liberty Street to E Erie Street, with a projected cost of $40,000.
- Resurfacing a portion of N St. Clair Street, from Main Street to E Erie Street, with a projected cost of $230,000.
- Adding new sidewalks to Elm Street as part of the Safe Routes to School grant, with a projected cost of $400,000.
- Various sanitary and storm sewer improvements for the scheduled resurfaced or reconstructed roadways with a projected cost of $200,000.
