It's the most wonderful time of the year and what better way to kick off your holiday shopping than visiting local businesses! This walk-around event features great store and restaurant specials, giveaways, special holiday guests and lots of treats! Support small and local businesses this holiday season. Shop specials all day starting at 12:00 noon. 
 
Special Guests Walking Around - Stormy (Lake Erie College's miniature horse), caroling by Madison Chorale, and HOLA's folkloric dancers 
Food Trucks on Main Street - Flavors Around the Square (F.A.T.S. to Go), Fungry and Vivander Cookies
Movie and a Bonfire - Warm up by the fire on Main Street and watch a Christmas movie too!
 
4:00 pm - Walk around event begins!
5:00 pm - Gartman Model Bakery Gingerbread House reveal in the front window at 30 N State Street
6:00 pm - Performance by HOLA Folk Dancers in front of 58 S Park Place
8:00 pm - Shops begin to close for the evening. Restaurants & bars remain open!

Parking

Free parking is available in multiple lots in the downtown. For those using GPS, use 150 Main Street, Painesville, Ohio to get to the downtown area for parking.

  • Free public lots: Lake County Job & Family Service lot off Main Street, S St. Clair Street lot and a row of spaces near Bada Bing Pizza off S State Street
  • Free street parking: All street parking spaces in the downtown area are free
  • Private business parking: Businesses participating in Holiday Shop & Stroll will also have their smaller lots available for parking
