Accepting Applications for the Residential Siding & Roofing Assistance Program
As part of the monies the City of Painesville received from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the City of Painesville has allocated $100,000 to a Residential Vinyl Siding and Roofing Program for city residents. This program is designed to benefit low to moderate income residential homeowners in the city, particularly those who have been cited for property maintenance violations, such as peeling and chipping paint.
Eligible homes must be owner-occupied and meet income eligibility requirements. The applicant is responsible for 10% of the total cost of the project and must show proof of funds. Community Development Department staff will review all applications and rank in order of need. It is estimated that an individual's 10% match will be between $800 to $1,200 based on the size of the home.
The City of Painesville is accepting applications for this program starting March 22 through April 29, 2022.
