Aero Fluid Products to Expand Facility in Painesville
The City of Painesville is proud to announce Aero Fluid Products, an aerospace design and manufacturing company, will be expanding its facility in Painesville. The expansion will add 30,000 square feet to the existing building at 313 Gillett Street and create 40 full-time jobs, with an anticipated additional payroll of $2.3 million. The company anticipates investing $3 million to $4 million into the project.
“We are excited to see one of Ohio’s targeted industries, aerospace, investing right here in the Painesville community,” said City Manager Monica Irelan. “Aero Fluid has always been a valued business within our city and we look forward to continuing our partnership as they invest in our community.”
A team of representatives including Congressman David Joyce, Lake County Commissioner Jerry Cirinio, the City of Painesville, JobsOhio, TeamNEO and the Lake County Ohio Port and Economic Development Authority collaborated closely with the Aero Fluid team to secure the expansion project.
“We welcome Aero Fluid’s newest investment and the 40 new jobs it will bring to Lake County,” said Cirinio. “Aero Fluid is an innovative company with advanced technologies that can leverage strong Ohio talent to grow its business.”
The team secured a $200,000 development grant from JobsOhio to assist Aero Fluid with the project’s fixed asset investments and infrastructure. Additionally, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a six-year, 1.392% tax credit for Aero Fluid, according to a news release. The agreement requires Aero Fluid to maintain operations at the location in Painesville for at least nine years.
“Along with our partners at Team NEO, we welcome Aero Fluid’s expansion in Painesville and the 40 new advanced manufacturing jobs it will bring to this leading-edge facility,” said Glenn Richardson, JobsOhio Managing Director for Advanced Manufacturing, Aerospace and Aviation. “This investment is a great win for Ohio’s aerospace industry and demonstrates Aero Fluid’s confidence in Northeast Ohio’s advanced manufacturing talent.”
“The City of Painesville’s location is prime for this division,” said Paula Wheeler, President of Aero Fluid Products. “This investment specializes in the design, manufacture and repair of highly engineered pneumatic valves and cabin pressure control systems. It will enhance our current operations, specifically in the area of high temperature and flow test capabilities, and has the potential to significantly increase Aero Fluid Products revenue in the very near future,” said Wheeler.
