Warming Shelter Information for Extreme Temperatures

Warming centers are available for residents in need of a place to warm up during severe cold weather temperatures. Hours and days may be extended under extreme conditions and some locations may close if the school district closes, have special holiday hours, or if there is no power. It is advised to call before heading out. Also, it is possible additional facilities may be designated during off hours; please call 2-1-1 for information on other warming center locations.

  • Kirtland Senior Center 7900 Chardon Rd. (440) 256-4711 8:30am – 3:30pm M-F No generator- if they lose power, they will close.
  • Madison Senior Center 2938 Hubbard Rd. (440) 428-6664 8:00am – 4:00pm M-F
  • Mentor Senior Center 8484 Munson Rd. (440) 974-5725 8:00am – 8:00pm Mon/Wed 8:00am – 5:00pm Tues/Thurs/Fri $4 hot lunch available daily from 11:30am – 12:30pm
