Road Work Update - August 19, 2026

Crews are continuing work at several locations in Painesville today. Drivers should use caution and expect the following restrictions:

Fobes Street: One-lane traffic restrictions are in place.

Oak Street: Oak Street is closed from the Fobes Street intersection through the end of the gravel roadway near the radio towers.

East Erie Street: One-lane traffic restrictions are in place beginning at Fobes Street and continuing east.

Elm Street: Elm Street will be reduced to one lane as work progresses from the north side of the bridge south toward the Fobes Street/Oak Street intersection. Work in this area will begin after 9 a.m. to accommodate school bus traffic.

Emergency services will have full access and will be given priority at all times.

Please use caution when traveling through these work zones and allow additional time when necessary.
