Road work and traffic restrictions for August 31

Drivers should be aware of road work taking place at several locations in Painesville on Monday, August 31.

Fobes Street
A one-lane traffic restriction will be in place.

Oak Street
Oak Street will be closed from the Oak Street/Fobes Street intersection through the end of the gravel roadway near the radio towers. The closure has been coordinated with Painesville Police and Fire personnel.

East Erie Street
A one-lane traffic restriction will be in place beginning at the Fobes Street intersection and proceeding east.

Elm Street
Elm Street will be reduced to one lane after 9 a.m. to accommodate morning school traffic. Work will proceed from the north side of the bridge moving south.

Emergency services will have full access throughout the work and will be given priority as needed.

Drivers are asked to use caution around work zones, watch for crews and equipment, and allow additional travel time.
