CSX Railroad Crossing Closures at Newell St and Elm St

Subject: CSX Railroad Crossing Closures at Newell Street and Elm Street

 

The City has been informed by CSX that starting in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 29, the Newell Street railroad crossing will close for approximately 2-4 days for new railroad ties on two of the four sets of tracks. The crew will work through the weekend to open the crossing as soon as possible. Please seek alternative routes starting Thursday, June 29 through Monday, July 3. The closure timing is subject to change.

 

CSX will also be closing the Elm Street crossing late on Thursday, June 29 or early Friday, June 30 based on the progress they make at the Newell Street crossing. This will be a 1-3 day closure with the crew working through the weekend to open the crossing a soon as possible. The closure timing is subject to change. Please seek alternative routes.
