Power Outages on Sunday, March 31

Crews have been working on a large power outage on N State Street including side streets such as Argonne, Sanford, Skinner, etc. since around the midnight hour on Sunday, March 31. 

• Scattered outages throughout the city have been reported, including a tree down on W Walnut Ave. Most of these issues have been resolved and power has been restored. Those remaining will see their power restored by 10:30 a.m. 
• For the large north side outage, a First Energy line has downed our lines. Due to safety reasons, we must wait for First Energy to restore their high voltage line before we can work on ours. Their crew is on the scene with an estimated time of restoration between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. However, Painesville crews have been switching around the issue on as many lines as possible, to get some homes back on. We are trying to minimize the outage as we wait.
