Chief Daniel J. Waterman
- Sworn in as a PPD officer in January 1996. Promoted to Chief in 2017.
- Bachelor's of Business in Finance from Kent State University.
- Graduate of the Southern Police Institute's 126th Administrative Officers Command School in Louisville, Kentucky.
- Completed Certified Law Enforcement Executive Course (CLEE) and the FBI LEEDA Supervisor, Command and Executive Leadership training.
Lt Toby Burgett
- Sworn in as a PPD officer in February 1998. Served as a detective, K9 supervisor, patrol sergeant, administrative sergeant, patrol lieutenant, investigations commander and patrol commander. Promoted to Administrative Lieutenant in 2017.
- Graduate of the FBI National Academy Class 273.
- Completed Police Administrative Leadership School, Certified Law Enforcement Executive program (CLEE) and FBI LEEDA Supervisory, Command and Executive Leadership training.
- Serves as Acting Chief in the absence of the Police Chief.
Lt Michael Slocum
- Sworn in as a PPD officer in November 2001. Served as a community service officer, field training officer, honor guard member, entry team member, patrol sergeant and administrative sergeant. Promoted to Patrol Lieutenant in October 2014. Also serves as Training Services Commander.
- Holds a bachelor's of Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Youngstown State University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Cleveland State University.
- Completed Police Administrative Leadership School, Certified Law Enforcement Executive program (CLEE) and FBI LEEDA Supervisor, Command and Executive Leadership training.
Lt Michael DeCaro
Patrol Lieutenant

Sworn in as a PPD officer in October 2000. Served as a field training officer, detective, patrol sergeant, administrative sergeant, investigations commander, entry team member and evidence technician. Promoted to Patrol Lieutenant in April 2016. Also serves as the Field Training Supervisor and Evidence Room Supervisor.

Lt Larry Armstrong
Patrol Lieutenant

Sworn in as a PPD officer in July 2001. Served as a field training officer, Lake County S.W.A.T. team operator, patrol sergeant and administrative sergeant. Promoted to Lieutenant in May 2015 and also serves as the Detective Bureau Supervisor and Code Enforcement Supervisor.

Sgt Michael Bailey
Administrative Sergeant

Sworn in as a PPD officer in June 1997. Served as a evidence technician, evidence room manager, entry team leader, member of the Lake County Weapons of Mass Destruction Team, member of the Northern Border Initiative with the Ohio Department of Homeland Security, task force officer with the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, detective, detective sergeant, K9 supervisor and member of the department honor guard. Promoted to Patrol Sergeant in January 2015.

Sgt Josh Rogers

Sworn in as a PPD officer in January 2010. Served as a field training officer, detective and administrative sergeant. Promoted in April 2018 to Patrol Sergeant. Also supervisor of the Defense Tactics Program.

Sgt Matthew Tycast
Detective Sergeant

Sworn in as PPD officer in July 2010. Served as a filed training officer and detective. Serves as a supervisor for the Field Training Officer Program and an instructor for pursuits and traffic stops. Promoted in March 2020 to Sergeant. Currently assigned as the working supervisor within the Detective Bureau.

Sgt Matthew Collins
Patrol Sergeant
- Sworn in as PPD officer in February 2001. Promoted in March 2023 to Patrol Sergeant. Served as a canine officer, field training officer, member of entry team and a North American Police Work Dog Accredited Trainer
- Serves as a supervisor for the Field Training Officer Program and Bike Patrol
- Completed FBI LEEDA Supervisory, Command and Executive Leadership training
Evan Goncz
Patrol Sergeant
- Sworn in as a PPD officer in September 2017. Served as a field training officer, evidence room custodian, and Lake Regional Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit member.
- Promoted in September 2023 to Patrol Sergeant.
- Bachelors degree in exercise science from California University of Pennsylvania.
- Completed Police Executive Administrative Leadership School and FBI LEEDA Supervisory, Command and Executive Leadership training.
