The Painesville Water Division provides safe, reliable drinking water to the community. Our water is sourced from Lake Erie and meets all state and federal standards set by Ohio EPA and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The City’s water treatment plant is located near Mentor Headlands State Park and the Mentor Marsh.

The system includes:

• Three water towers
• One standpipe
• One above-ground storage tank
• Five pumping stations (including backup systems for reliability)
