Consumer Confidence Reports

The Painesville Water Division is committed to transparency and providing high-quality drinking water to our community.

Each year, in compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act, the City publishes a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) that summarizes the quality of your drinking water.

What’s in the Report?

The report includes results from required water quality testing conducted throughout the year.

Painesville tests for more than 100 potential contaminants, including:

  • Bacteria
  • Inorganic substances
  • Synthetic organic compounds
  • Volatile organic compounds

Most contaminants are not detected in Painesville’s water supply.

How testing works

Water samples are collected and analyzed on a regular schedule to ensure compliance with state and federal standards.

Some contaminants are monitored less frequently because their levels do not typically change. As a result, certain data included in the report may be more than one year old—but remains accurate and compliant with Ohio EPA requirements.
